The banned ad above is from Ireland's biggest bookmaker Paddy Power. It depicts two old women crossing a pedestrain crossing with a van approaching. Next to each pensioner were the supposed odds (or chances) of their making it across the road. There is a cheeky caption on this banned ad which reads: "Let's make things more interesting". The Advertising Standard Authority(ASA) said that the advert was likely to cause serious offence after receiving complaints that it was "ageist and offensive", "demeaned" older people and could lead to dangerous drivers trying to recreate the scene.
